At Dutch Rose Media, I worked as Operational Manager with a strong focus on project management, guiding a wide range of digital and experiential projects from concept to delivery. Many of these projects were commissioned by high-profile clients, making stakeholder management a central part of my role. I was responsible for aligning expectations across clients, creative teams, and technical partners, while keeping timelines, budgets, and quality in balance.

The projects I oversaw spanned augmented reality, virtual reality, and hybrid events, often combining emerging technologies with live or physical experiences. Most applications were in the realms of Immersive Training (VR), Living History (AR) and Edutainment (AR).

I also worked closely with the sister company, 4DR Studios, which gave me in-depth insight into volumetric video technology and its practical application in immersive productions. This collaboration also allowed me to do a personal experiment around 3D printing specific frames of a volcap recording.

I also used 3D printing for stimulating the team’s sense of responsibility and ownership, by producing a flag with the client’s logo for every project. These flags were voluntarily ‘adopted’ by any team member who wanted to become the project’s representative – making sure important developments were signalled and shared.

The first time a team member had been carrying the flag for a project, after it finished I asked them about their spirit animal (or – for interns – I asked the rest of the team and created a hybrid animal from the answers), and 3D printed that animal with holes to stick flags in, so it became a kind of trophy that encouraged them to collect more.
