As part of a guest lecture at NHTV Hotel and Facility Management about prototyping I created a 3D printed trophy for the best failure of the day. We wanted to communicate how important it is in a design process to dare and make mistakes. Lemon is a synonym for failure, but when life gives you lemons – make lemonade.! Just like the invention of Post-It’s: a failure in glue development made it semi-sticky. Someone made the very smart call to turn it into a product you can easily peel off....
